Our Goldfields Encounter heads north-east of Perth with the total trip being five nights, but you can elect to only travel with us for a few nights of the journey.
Our first night has us camping at a rocky waterhole with a welcome campfire that night (season permitting). The next day is a relatively short drive, mostly on gravel and with lowered tyre pressures. We end up near an old gold mining tunnel with plenty of open mine shafts around.!
After pumping our tyres up, the third day has us travelling east on bitumen before we camp on the side of a breakaway. The fourth day is mainly bitumen with a short amount of gravel before we camp on the side of a salt lake. The last day has us looking around Kalgoorlie before our overnight camp beside a lake just outside of town.
All camping is bush camping with no water or power available. There are opportunities to replenish water tanks and top-up food supplies along the way, but generally one takes sufficient supplies….. with the exception of fuel that is available on route.
